Bulldogs add three to roster for 2025-26

FRESNO, Calif - Fresno State swim and dive head coach Jeanne Fleck announces the addition of three Bulldogs to the upcoming 2025-26 roster in Marissa Recio, Alani Ika and Arianna Pelligra. Recio and Ika will be incoming freshmen, while Pelligra joins the Bulldogs as a sophomore transfer from New Mexico University.

Recio, a member of two-time Sac-Joaquin Section Division II and 2023 Delta League champions comes from St. Francis High School and swims on club scene for DART, a high-level competitive team. Recio, a native of Sacramento, Calif. Recio is ranked 118th in the state and most recently made an appearance in the CIF D1 meet and CIF State meet this spring.

Ika, the Chandler, Ariz., native joins the Bulldogs as a true freshman for the upcoming season. Ika sits within the top 20 of female swimmers sitting 17th in the state of Arizona. The stroke specialist was the top swimmer at Chandler High School and placed fifth in the 200 breaststroke at the Arizona State Senior Championship.

Pelligra comes to the Valley after one season at fellow Mountain West opponent, New Mexico. The Italian native will join the 'Dogs on the springboard as the fifth diver on the roster. With the Lobos, Pelligra saw a successful season with a finals appearance in the 1 & 3 meter springboard at Mountain West Championships, placing 7th (262.35) and 8th (251.55), respectively. She also made an appearance at NCAA Zones in the platform taking 38th.
