Phil Steele names 10 'Dogs to preseason All-MW

FRESNO, Calif. - Kickoff to the 2025 Fresno State football season is right around the corner, and preseason awards have launched with the release of the Phil Steele preseason All-Mountain West team this week. Ten Bulldogs were named to a preseason all-conference team, highlighted by first team selections in wide receiver Josiah Freeman and transfer linebacker Jadon Pearson.

Freeman enters 2025 after missing a majority of 2024 due to injury. The veteran Bulldog is one of eight players on the roster and one of two wide receivers who return with at least one reception in 2024.

Pearson enters his final year of collegiate eligibility, and first with the Bulldogs. The Arizona native brings five years of experience at various levels, and returns to the Central Valley for the second time in his career. Starting off at Air Force, he opted to transfer to Reedley College, then transferred to Utah and Utah State from there, before coming to Fresno State in January.

Fresno State had the bulk of its selections to the second team. Running back Bryson Donelson, defensive end Korey Foreman, cornerback Al'zillion Hamilton and safety Camryn Bracha were the second team selections.

Tight end Richie Anderson and long snapper Wesley Brown earned preseason third team honors. Offensive lineman Jacob Spomer and return specialist Jayon Farrar were named to the fourth team.

Fresno State opens the 2025 season with a Week 0 game at Kansas (August 23). Tickets for Fresno State's first-ever meeting with Kansas can be purchased here. The home opener against Georgia Southern is set for August 30. Season tickets for the 2025 season can be purchased here.
