Former Dallas police officer Amber Guyger was found guilty of murder on Tuesday after shooting and killing her black neighbor in his own apartment in September 2018.The New York Timesreports that Guyger "faces a prison sentence of between five and 99 years" after she fatally shot unarmed neighbor Botham Jean, claiming she mistook him for an intruder inside her own home. Guyger was fired by the Dallas Police Department soon after the incident occurred last year.
