Fed up with his job as a welder in Scotland, 31-year-old Dean Nicholson decided to traverse Europe on his bicycle. When Nicholson reached the Balkans, a stray cat wouldn't stop following him, so he named her Nana (fromThe Lion King) and adopted her. In terms of their travel arrangements, he initially put her in a basket on the front of his bike. Dissatisfied with this arrangement, Nala hopped on his shoulder, where she's remained throughout the trek. Earlier this week, The Dodo posted a video chronicling the pair's travels on its Twitter account, where it had been viewed nearly 10 million times as of Thursday morning.
