On Wednesday night, a group of our peacocks escaped from the Philadelphia Zoo and wandered onto Interstate 76. Police proceeded to shut down two lanes of traffic, causing a massive backup. But while the cops were able to shoo the birds off the highway, they were unable to capture them before they went to roost for the night. As of Thursday morning, the renegade peacocks remained at large.
