A Georgia woman who went to the hospital complaining of headaches and memory loss in 2017 wound up discovering that her symptoms were the result of her boyfriend shooting her in the head more than a month prior. Nicole Gordon told authorities that she didn't remember being shot, but she did recall an argument in a car with then-boyfriend Jerrontae Cain. She said the driver's-side window shattered during the argument, causing her to pass out. Investigators ultimately determined that the window shattered after Cain shot Gordon. He managed to evade capture for a year-and-a-half before he was finally arrested this past January. Last Thursday, Cain was sentenced to 25 years in prison. Meanwhile, doctors say taking the bullet out of Gordon's skull would likely kill her.
