Joe Jackson, who changed the face of popular music forever when he formed The Jackson 5 with his sons (including Michael), has died at the age of 89. TMZ reports that Joe passed away in L.A. at 3:30 a.m. local time on Wednesday. Members of the Jackson family had reportedly been flocking to Joe's bedside as news broke that he was battling terminal pancreatic cancer. Last week, son Jermaine told The Daily Mail, "He’s very, very frail, he doesn’t have long. The family needs to be by his bedside--that’s our only intention in his final days." Joe's Twitter account also tweeted this past Sunday, "I have seen more sunsets than I have left to see. The sun rises when the time comes and whether you like it or not the sun sets when the time comes." However, granddaughter Paris Jackson later claimed Joe did not write that tweet himself.
