Musician Mark Hollis, best known as the lead vocalist for English group Talk Talk has died. He was 64. While no official confirmation has been released, several outlets are reporting the sad news and citing sources close to Hollis. NME reports that a number of tributes to Hollis have also popped up on social media, including one from the musician’s cousin Anthony Costello and his former band mate Paul Webb. Hollis co-founded Talk Talk in 1981 alongside bassist Webb, drummer Lee Harris and keyboard player Simon Brenner. They had early synth-pop success with singles “Talk Talk,” “It’s My Life” and “Such a Shame.” After the band disbanded in 1991, Hollis released a self-titled solo album in 1998 before retiring from the music industry.
