Celebrity chefs Guy Fieri and José Andrés have teamed up to provide food for the first responders and victims of the Carr fire in Northern California. Us Weekly reports that Andrés tweeted on Sunday that his World Central Kitchen Relief Team is “on the ground in Redding, California to serve the #CarrFire evacuee shelters & emergency crews!” The photo showed him posing next to Fieri, who heads Operation BBQ Relief, and several firefighters in front of a fire truck. Speaking to CNN, Fieri explains, “We’re just working arm-in-arm with the Salvation Army and local chefs and residents, and everybody helping out all the evacuees.” The Carr Fire has destroyed 966 structures, making it the ninth-most destructive fire in California history.
