Chubbs, The 29 Pound Cat, Gets A New Home

Chubbs, the 29-pound stray cat that went viral on Twitter last week after his pic was posted online, has found a new home. Pasadena Star-News reports that Yvette and Ruben Viola were the first ones who got in line to adopt the hefty Himalayan from the local chapter of the Humane Society on Wednesday after seeing his photo on TV. "Look at him, he is just adorable!" Yvette gushed. "His name is now Chubbs Viola." The Violas were drawn to Chubbs because they recently lost their 14-year-old cat Mooshoo, who was also adopted from the Pasadena Humane Society. He weighed a whopping 23 pounds. "I’m very happy, I think [Chubbs] is going to be very happy," Yvette declared. "He’ll be spoiled, that’s for sure."
