The Los Angeles Rams defeated the Kansas City Chiefs by a score of 54-51 on Monday night, marking the first time two teams have ever scored 50 points in an NFL game. (It was also the highest-scoring game in Monday Night Football history.) There were 14 touchdowns overall, including three by defensive players, as well as 56 first downs. Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes passed for a career-high 478 yards and six touchdowns, but his team dropped to 9-2 on the year, while the hometown Rams improved to 10-1. “It seemed like whoever had the ball at the end was going to win the game," said Rams quarterback Jared Goff, who threw a 40-yard touchdown pass to Gerald Everett with 1:49 left to play in order to seal the deal.
