“Weird Al” Yankovic Will Tour With A Full Symphony Orchestra

“Weird Al” Yankovic has announced plans for a 2019 North American tour featuring a full symphony orchestra. Consequences of Sound reports that the Strings Attached tour has been described by Weird Al as his “most full-blown, over-the-top extravaganza ever.” The trek will feature a different orchestra at each stop, either an official philharmonic ensemble or a collection of local musicians, as well as his usual over-the-top costumes and props. The new tour follows Weird Al’s stripped-down run from earlier this year, which was dubbed The Ridiculously Self-Indulgent Ill-Advised Vanity tour. Dates for the new tour will be announced on November 12, with ticket on sale beginning November 16.
