Bradley Cooper removed Lady Gaga's makeup with a facial wipe, and it may have landed her the lead role in A Star Is Born. According to The Los Angeles Times, actor-director Cooper went to the singer's house for her screen test, since Warner Bros. wasn't yet convinced she should get the part. Despite Cooper's blunt gesture, Gaga was fine with Cooper invading her personal space by taking off her makeup, saying, "It put me right in the place I needed to be, because when my character talks about how ugly she feels--that was real."
