The release date for Indiana Jones 5 will reportedly be pushed back as the creative team behind the franchise has yet to sign off on a suitable script. Variety reports that a new screenwriter is in talks for rewrites: Jonathan Kasdan, who penned the recent Solo: A Star Wars Story and is the son of Raiders of the Lost Ark scribe Lawrence Kasdan. Harrison Ford and Steven Spielberg will return to respectively star in and direct Indiana Jones 5 once production begins. The film was originally given a July 10, 2020, release date; a new release date has yet to be announced.
