Jeff Goldblum is taking his irresistible brand of eccentricity to the world of music. Billboard reports that the 65-year-old thespian will release his first-ever album, a collection of jazz piano tunes, later this year. The as-yet-untitled project came about after execs at Universal saw him accompany Grammy-winning jazz singer Gregory Porter last year on The Graham Norton Show. "As far as I can tell, everyone loves Jeff Goldblum," says Tom Lewis of Universal's Decca label. "His love of jazz is infectious, and whenever he plays, he makes you feel very happy. If we can take Jeff’s music into people’s homes, then we will be helping, in our own small way, to make the world a happier place." Goldblum added, "I’m so happy to be in cahoots with the wonderful people at Decca, one of the coolest and most prestigious labels of all time." Here's more from COS.
