Edith Pittenger celebrated her 102nd birthday Tuesday by having legendary auto racer Mario Andretti chauffeur her for a few laps around Indianapolis Motor Speedway (where the Indy 500 will be run on May 25)--at 180 miles per hour. “He said 180 is the maximum,” she said of Andretti. “I wanted to do 200, but he wouldn’t do that...He didn't slow down around those corners; that's what surprised me.” Andretti was so taken with Pittenger that she now has a standing invitation to return to the Indy 500 track for a couple hot laps alongside him every year.
